Where do I download Cove?
Cove ships as four signed Android APKs hosted on this site — Cove Travel, Cove Voice, Cove Photo, and Cove Health. Each card on this page links to the matching APK with its SHA-256 checksum so you can verify the file. Google Play listings are in preparation; until they go live, the APKs above are the only official distribution channel. Cove is not on the App Store, F-Droid, or any third-party APK mirror.

Is Cove free to try?
Yes. Every Cove app gives you 5 free AI runs per day with no account, no trial timer, and no credit card. If you hit the daily limit and want unlimited runs, each app has a one-time Pro unlock: Cove Travel is $3.99, and Cove Voice, Cove Photo, and Cove Health are $2.99 each. The four-app Bundle is $12.96 once. There are no subscriptions and no recurring fees.

Does Cove work on iPhone?
Not yet. Cove is Android-only today because the AI model runs on-device using LiteRT-LM, which we ship as a native Android build. iPhone and iPad are not supported. We are evaluating an iOS port, but it is not on our published roadmap. If you want to be notified when an iOS version exists, watch the homepage — we will announce it there before any other channel.

What Android version do I need?
Cove requires Android 12 (API 31) or newer and at least 4 GB of RAM. The recommended setup is Android 14+ with 8 GB of RAM, which keeps inference under 2 seconds per run on phones with an NPU such as Pixel 8a, Pixel 9 Pro, or Galaxy S24. On the minimum spec, expect 5 to 15 seconds per AI run instead. Android Go editions, Wear OS, and phones from 2019 or earlier are not supported.

How big is the model download?
Cove ships Google Gemma 4 in two variants: E2B (default, ~2.5 GB) covers most everyday use; E4B (optional upgrade, ~3.6 GB) gives higher accuracy on long technical text and rare languages. The model is downloaded once on first launch and then shared across all four Cove apps through a common directory, so installing more Cove apps does not duplicate the file. Plan for about 5 GB of free storage (enough for E4B + cache). If you prefer to skip the in-app download, you can pre-place the model file under /sdcard/GemmaApp/models/ before opening the app.
